Poetry by Martin - Verses from life

About
These are some of the compositions of my son-in-law, which I am putting here to share with anyone who enjoys them. The selection and format is mine, the inspiration and punctuation are all his.

Comments on the content should go to him, he generally writes them as a single long paragraph, if you don't like the presentation you should comment to me.

    Waterwheel (18:27)

Water runs over my wheel, I turn the mighty stone so it may grind the
wheat. When my work is done the flour will be gathered and used to make
bread to feed many. When I smell the fresh scent of the bread I know my
    toil was not in vain.
